mom's new house was finished like a month ago. it's outside atlanta.
when i went to bed i was trying to decide if it seemed ghosty
even though the house is brand new.
i thought i could feel things passing overhead
but like they were on their way somewhere more familiar.
today we left on our drive north. i noticed my dad's ashes in the back seat. last year when the house in florida was
full after he died, there wasn't a bed and i ended up sleeping next to the ashes in the living room.
they had a smell so i moved them over and then said sorry in my head. there was a budhist from thailand being cremated just before my dad. the budhist's family was there in orange robes and i let myself believe that meant something nice
for dad's spirit. i think my mom just wants everything new from now on. not ghosty.
mom & ursen at the georgia aquarium. it's beautiful. there are three enormous whale sharks.
he was doing this face out of exhaustion. slept on the subway all the way home.

watching the seals playing in the water.
these are just littles, i think they are grey tip sharks.

now we're in statesville north carolina, heading north.
it's so corny but i'm fixated on finding the best peach pie or something like that.
