ISLAND CABIN

i'm taking a break from pictures,
i just can't feel the camera right now.
i want to talk about radio jams from tonight
heart break singing from Asha Bhosle w/Kronos Quartet
party raps from People Under the Stairs
seems like anything off Domino records
and something new from chris cousin/ "Sofalofa" downtempo sort of early plaid, tls,
which reminded me of this guy in SF who i would see wearing a blue t-shirt he made for himself
that said "Roger the Lodger" in those letters like the LA Dodgers.
it was his couch surfing shirt. i don't know why i remember that,
and a lot of other things no one would remember back.
i used to live in a youth hostel downtown for part of the time I was at college.
it sucked for trying to study but it was a relief from the general feeling of
living in san francisco, expensive and only kind of worth it. it was nice living with people
fresh off the plane excited to drink beer and watch the simpsons.
everyone must love october. even the frat houses are in a good mood,
throwing glowing frisbees on the green tonight,
Nelly on the stereo.
