1. my friend made this monumental post called "motionless in FL" i don't know what to say besides go see it.

2. i can't post comments on non beta blogs anymore. i'm sure it's a FAQ but feel more like whining than
reading directions.

3. i was doing that kind of web wandering i do when i want to know about my
grandparents, for example, and can't find anything because they lived before this era
and were not famous or known and everyone was poor and died with their affiliations. and then i
follow this familiar path of feeling curious, then slightly depressed about mortality,
and finally enter a freefall where i start making things up about them in order to fill in blanks.
