here's
a story in the Guardian UK arts section about a Turner Prize nominee named Phil Collins but not that Phil Collins.
His proposal is to film people who feel their lives have been ruined by reality TV, to give them a forum to redeem their potentialities as humans & I guess the vastness of private lives versus flatness of tv ones, and then we can trip about how the redemption would come from the same tool that brought on the ruination. I used to wait tables at this place, the chef said to me twice "Marina, don't let a moment's bravery ruin the rest of your life." I thought he was being lame. it turned out that he admired his mom and that was her guiding wisdom for her son. It's sucks to imagine being in the frame of mind where you could look at your life as having been ruined by something. by a tiny fraction of it.

anyway the Guardian has arts writing that i always think maybe the new york times will have. i don't know why i keep looking to the Times, their section is so boring. swim path for big fishes flourescence,
not ,
